In September 2001, Stephanie refocused the direction of her marketing communications agency, (The) Communication Works, to assist nonprofits in recovering from the aftereffects of 911. The agency began to work on meetings and events executing fundraising and development campaigns for Georgia Ovarian Cancer Alliance, Athletes for a Better World, Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation, Keep Atlanta Beautiful, and others.

Glenn Geffcken

Glenn Geffcken is an accomplished executive with a background in sales, large-scale event production, publishing and sustainability. Strengths include, strategy, business development, sales coaching, finance, work-flow systems and personnel development. Glenn spent eleven years working for the Los Angeles Times in a variety of capacities and the balance of his career working for entrepreneurial small firms.

At the Los Angeles Times Glenn developed a reputation for crafting, pricing, negotiating and closing complex six-figure sponsorships with Fortune 500 companies. He also produced the Nation’s largest book festival, the Los Angeles Times Festival of Books for nine years, steadily increasing attendance, scope, breadth and profitability.

Also a seasoned sales and business development professional, Glenn approaches every aspect of his projects with an eye for driving revenue balanced together with all other objectives. Glenn is a consummate organizer, leaving no stone unturned in the pursuit of labor and technology efficiencies and refinement of work-flow systems.

Steve Heissner

Instructional Designer

Steve has over thirty years of experience and expertise in Content Development and Production. A graduate of Hofstra University, Steve holds a B.S. degree in Adult Education and Instructional Design. His graduate work (MA and Ph.D.) is from the University of Kansas, Wichita in Mass Communications. More than just designing communication programs.
